Dowsing Rods
The art of dowsing has been around for centuries, perhaps thousands of years. Dousing has been used for several different reasons, be for water locating, discovering the location of unknown graves, treasure hunting, gust to mention a few, along with paranormal investigations. How dowsing actually works is still a mystery, but it has been proven to be strangely accurate over the years. Even the American Dousing Society admits that the reason it works is still an unknown factor. Many City’s and Counties keep a professional dowser on their parole for the purpose of locating underground water sources Dowsers use either a Y or L shaped rod or rods. The L shaped rods cross or swing either inward or outward. The Y when used points down when water or the item being sought is passed over. To use dowsing rods for the paranormal investigation, its best to use the L shaped rods. They are made of brass or other lightweight metals. Some dowsers even use coat hangers cut and bent into an L shape. The rods should be about 2 feet long and bent in the L shape, which fits into your hand. I have even used a cut pieces of PVC pipe as handles so the rods do not touch my hands (just make sure the rods swing freely). Hold the short end of the rods in your hand loosely or use handles so the rods can swing without resistance. The Long section of the rods should be pointed straight out form your body. Now begin your search, concentrate on what you’re searching for. If you’re looking for a ghost, think about the ghost you’re looking for. You can locate all sorts of anomalies and portals if you concentrate on them wile searching. As you locate the item the rods will cross as you pass over or into the item you’re looking for. Walk around the entire location but follow ware the rods lead you. They will swing towards the direction of the item you are searching. When you have discovered the item the rods will cross. Have fun and good hunting.
