Book Review,       "The Demonologist"      by Gerald Brittle

This book is fascinating look at the life and work of the most famous of demonologists, Ed and Lorraine Warren. Through a series of case studies a student of demonology or  one who is just curious about demonology can glean a great deal about the workings of humanity's greatest enemy, Satan. Ed and Lorraine explain the demonic hierarchy, the methods Satan uses to torture humanity  and even suggest some of Satans motives. The Warrens also talk about how to avoid possession and harassment by demons. They give advice on how to recognize the demonic, a skill important for anyone dealing with the paranormal. The Warrens are Catholic and religious, and they rely heavily on their faith throughout their work.

For anyone who is interested in demonology, I would recommend this book. There is a good bibliography at the back of the book that lists books that should be on any paranormal investigators reading list. And besides, its great read, and well presented. It is more frightening than any Stephen King novel in that it is true.

On a footnote, Ed Warren passed away a few years ago but Lorraine still goes out on cases. Her nephew, John Zaffis, has kind of taken over the family business.

Enjoy, bigyeti
