The historic courthouse we are going to be investigating was built in 1890. It was designed by a local Jacksonville architect named A.E.McClure. It is in the Italian Renaissance style. In 1891 a local couple named John and Ellen Borden deeded the property over to Clay County for the courthouse and it was built for $ 13, 000. The courthouse was THE center of life in Clay county. Marriages, trials, many of life's most important events took place in its hallways. In 1913 indoor plumbing was added. In 1928 the east wing was added and in 1959 a one story addition was added to the west side of the building. It was also stuccoed over around 1950. In 1973 the old courthouse saw the last of its business as a new one had been built down the road. The building fell into disrepair. You may have seen its courtroom in the Rob Lowe movie "Legally Yours" and the latest Eddie Farrah lawyer commercials. Finally, in 2006 a $206,175.00 dollar restoration was completed. Today, it houses archival displays and the Teen Court program.
We will be able to investigate all parts of the building except the offices of Teen court, which houses sensitive juvenile materials. This is located on the first floor to the east side. There has been some reported paranormal activity.

just wondering...
also, if I could, I'd like to add an update to the Little Ruth stuff and add the clip of the EVP fro the June 20 investigation. I guess we can put up a link to a clip of it Huh?

The Pictures have already been added to the front page, I did it at the same time as I updated this one, The EVP has to go on the Forum not on the front page.

just an idea, I was thinking , perhaps we could add a little blurb to the front pages directing folks to the forum to listen to evp, see video, etc ?
some of our best evidence is in the form of the evp we get...
something like:

"EVP from Little Ruth Church Cemetery"
An EVP of a childs voice was recorded.
Go to the forum, sign in and search the evidence file for 'Little Ruth EVP'

what do you think ?

of course, it helps if I can load you the evp first onto  the forum !

you
